Salon Hygge was started in 2022 when the owner, Mallory, decided it was time to go off on her own to be able to tailor the environment, retail, and experience she was giving to her clients. The goal was to create a space that was inviting, cozy, education focused, and above all felt luxurious. From the high end products and retail, Mallory's years of experience and knowledge, and the cozy wash of natural light, this space is sure to give all the Hygge vibes and provide clients with haircare and retail that stand out amongst the rest.

Born and raised in Wichita, Mallory has spent over a decade refining her craft and building a reputation as a trusted expert in effortless, elevated color.
With 12+ years in the industry, her specialty lies in low-maintenance, high-impact color—with a focus on lightening techniques that honor the integrity of the hair above all else. Every service with Mallory is grounded in intention, care, and education—because she believes clients should leave not just looking beautiful, but feeling empowered in their hair journey.
Beyond the chair, Mallory is a devoted wife and mother to a daughter and son. She finds joy in slow moments—reading on quiet mornings, long walks through her College Hill neighborhood, curating her signature scent, and spending meaningful time with loved ones.

A Wichita native, her love for hair and makeup has been lifelong—but it wasn’t until after high school that she followed the quiet pull toward what would become her calling. From the moment she stepped into the salon world, her gift for color, especially soft blonding and lived-in tones, became unmistakably clear.
